CLASSIC NBA: KEVIN MCHALE

McHale once made the mistake of breaking the Boston Celtic's scoring record with 56 points against the Detroit Pistons.  This was an incredible feat: the Pistons had vicious Bill Laimbeer contend with McHale's famous post game.  



Larry Bird, unimpressed with McHale's legendary performance, promptly restablished himself as the Celtic's single game scoring record holder a week later with 60 points against the Atlanta Hawks.  That was life for Kevin McHale: an otherworldly talent, maybe the best post player in the world....but the second best player on his own team.
